Obsessed

For some reason I'm completely fascinated with naturally red hair. One day I was walking on campus and this lady stopped me to ask directions and I could barely catch what she was saying because I was completely mesmerized by her gorgeous red hair. That's when I knew I had a problem, lol.

When I saw the commercials for the new movie "Brave" and thought about watching it just to see how they were going to 3D animate the main characters hair, I knew it was an official obsession.

Then my friend Ope mentioned to me that she had the same fascination and I began to think: what is it about red hair that's so interesting? I still haven't figured it out, but in the mean time, here are some of my favorite gingers.

 Lindsay Lohan. Love her.

Deborah Messing!!!

Laura Prepon. Funny girl (That 70's Show).

Emma Stone. Weird voice. Funny girl.

BIER!!!

(bier is German for beer)
My future beer fridge!

Over the last three years, I've developed a certain fondness for beer. It started slowly, but was then exponentially catalyzed by my working at a brewing company, which also happened to be the longest job I've ever kept.

Some people say that beer is a man's drink. I know that's a stereotype, but I don't understand it. Beer is actually my alcoholic beverage of choice.

A lot of people, especially women, say they don't like beer. I don't understand that either. How can you say you don't like something that has so many brands, brews and flavors? If you haven't tried all beer, you can't say you don't like it (in my opinion). Here's a chart I found that may help explain the conglomerate that is beer:

The words in the chart are kind of small so here are the main points:

Ales
This is an ancient beer preferred by quite a lot of people. This beer is brewed using the top fermenting yeast. It has a sweet and fruity taste. As all the sugars are not converted in to alcohol it is also not very strong. Ales are a perfect drink to have with grilled steak or even the Nachos.

Lagers
Bottom fermented and aged for a longer period of time. This type of beer with a crisp taste and carbonation is the best drink to offer at a party where spicy food, Mexican or Indian food is served. It tastes well even with a pizza. The color of the lager depends on the environment in which it is brewed.

Porters
This is a malty, delicious and strong type of beer that originated in England. Porter is a dark beer with a roasted, bittersweer taste.A lighter bodied companion to stout. This is usually served with meat foods such as beef, lamb, chicken and pork.

Stouts
This beer originated in Ireland – it is dark in color (extra dark, almost black) with a coffee flavor. There are other varieties of stouts with sweet, milk, bitter and oatmeal flavor. Top-fermented brew. Full flavored, hearty, roasted malt and bitter. Most of people prefer to drink it on its own as its strong flavor makes it hard to eat anything after having it.

Pilsner
This is a clear, bottom fermented, golden colored sparkling beer, bottom fermented. This hop flavored beer is stronger than lager. Pilsner is a light beer and can be served with almost every type of food.

Bock
The first beer that is drawn in the spring from the vats. Strong in flavor and dark in color

Hefeweizen
German for "yeast-wheat". Rich, smooth and refreshing.

Lambic
A fruit fermented style of wheat beer unique to Belgium.

Micro-Brewed or Crafted Beers
Produced in small batches in order to preserve the unique flavor and quality.

Top Fermenting? Bottom Fermenting?

Ales generally use top fermenting yeast. This means that the yeast floats on the surface for the first few days and then settles on the bottom. Lagers use bottom fermenting yeast, which does not float to the surface before settling.

Specific Beer Glassware? Apparently!

..........

There's tons more info out there but, I just drink the stuff!

There is an entire culture associated with beer drinking. I am, by no means, a beer enthusiast. And this blog post merely scratches the surface of what a cool substance beer really is.
If you would like more info, here's a cool website I found: craftbeer.com

Cool German beer I've tried. Brought it back for my friends Ryan and Maliki. We decided that this is a MUST drink ice cold situation. It's very heavy, kind of taste like soup.
Caution:Will get you where you want to go. Lol.

I wont say that I have a favorite beer but when I do want to treat myself I go with Peroni. It has a clean, crisp, champagne beer-esque flavor. #1 Italian imported beer.

Delicious.

Drink More Beer!

Stay Encouraged!

I have to remind myself all the time!

Instagram

I LOVE this picture. I took this while my dad was driving me to campus one morning. He said he'd never worn African clothes to work before so I took a pic to document and it came out really cool.
I really like the shirt...Super swaggy African tee.

Howard! My soon to be Alma Mater! A classmate of mine made this the background pic on his iPhone...that made my heart smile. He said, "why are you a science major, you should be a photographer" I'm FAR from a photographer but his words (and actions) are very kind.
I took this from the observatory on the roof of Locke Hall. I was suppose to be looking for Venus.

Yes, I do go in the kitchen sometimes. I put a little something something together for my dad this morning, today being Father's Day and all.
What we have here is a spinach and cheese omelette, whole grain waffles, and mint tea that I put in my dad's alma mater mug. I did post this on Instagram but there is no filter. My dad doesn't eat meat but I cant really make a meal with out a meat component so I tucked a sausage patty under the waffle... he didn't eat it.

Miscellaneous

Bikini pictures aren't uncommon and neither are pictures of guns; but put them together and you've got everyone's attention. She's Israel's latest international star, yet nobody knows her name - or even her face, for that matter. And it has been viewed by more than 650,000 people over the course of a day..

;)

Love this. Shirt by helmut. Denim by rag&bone.

 I need these...cute and comfy...just my style.

Lexicon

My favorite words:

Disrespectful - I'm not sure if I should say this is my favorite word but I definitely use it often.
Definitely - I use this often too. Mainly in text messages and social media outlets in the short form "def"
Romance - the idea is just as beautiful as the word.
Friend - I never misuse this word.
Precise - the better your vocabulary, the more precise you can be when speaking
Petit déjeuner (puh-teet  deh-je-nay) - it kind of means brunch in French. I love brunch and French.

Words I don't like so much:

B*tch - call us old maids but, my girl friends and I never refer to each other as this. It may be a term of endearment for some, but I still think its disrespectful.
P*ssy - I could barely even type that out. Even though I call guys this from time to time (lol) its still a nasty word.

Quick Question....

This question was clearly meant for the fashion industry and popular culture media. I feel like most guys like women with feminine curves (bottom half of picture) not bodies of ten year old boys (top half of picture).
